Thread University – Want to earn your “degree” in threadology?  We are offering the Superior Thread University – a monthly program to experiment with different threads and projects each month.  Cost is $25 for Starter Kit and $20 per monthly session.  Begin any time.   Sessions are Mon. 6:30 – 8:30 or Sat. 10am – noon.
  
Mystery Quilts
  
MYSTERY QUILTS -    
The mystery quilts have become popular due to the fact that you complete/almost complete a lap size quilt top.  There are now 2 types of mystery quilts offered – traditionally pieced or modern/contemporary design.  Cost is $75 (includes pattern, dinner on Friday night and lunch on Saturday.

Modern/Contemporary – Friday, Saturday, Sunday – June 9, 10
Traditional Mystery –Friday, Saturday– August 25, 26.

Jelly Roll Suprise
  
 Got a jelly roll? Bali Pop? Tonga Treat? Wonder why you bought it? Want a fun way to use it? Completely different pattern than the first jelly roll class! Two sizes. Lots of negative space to show off the jelly roll. If you are making the lap size you need 40 jelly roll strips and 4 yards of background. If you make the full/queen sioze you  need 60 jelly roll strips and 6&3/4yards of background. Cost is $45

Color & Design Workshop

Tuesday and Wednesday, August 29- 30, 2017
10am – 8pm
There will be a trunk show of quilts made from the Jelly Roll Surprise classes. Come see the different
interpretations of the pattern by the use of the colors and fabric designs in the different jelly rolls that were
used. Meet the quilters who made them. Enjoy a treat to show appreciation for your supporting the efforts
of Room To Learn to bring something inspiring and different to you. The pattern for the quilts on display
will be for sale for those interested in making their own Jelly Roll Surprise.

  
Back by popular demand!  Want to explore color and design?  What’s missing from your stash?  How do you put together blues?  How many shades of red are there?  What is a real neutral?  Here’s an opportunity to stretch, learn, even keep a journal.  Lots of design tips to inspire both traditional and art quilters.  How?  Monthly projects using as a guide, the book Color & Design by Heather Thomas.

Becoming A Quilter​​​

  
Becoming A Quilter – More Than Stars
This is a comprehensive set of classes designed to give you all the basic skills, tips and techniques to make you a successful quilter.  By establishing these skills, you will take the frustration out of learning how to quilt by finding the methods that work for you.  With these skills, you will be able to make just about any quilt pattern you choose.  You will become familiar with quilting terms, tools and how to read quilt patterns.  The project will be a lap size quilt using half square triangles, flying geese and a pieced background.  Cost - $20 per session
Dates – To Be Scheduled – when there are at least 4 interested!
Morning Sessions – 10:00 – noon     Evening Sessions – 6:30 – 8:30pm

FABRIC DYEING –
On Friday night, we will set up our ice dye and come back Saturday morning to see theresults. On Saturday afternoon, we will set up for a one color with 7 gradations from light to dark. If there isenough interest, we could add a 7 gradations during the day on Friday, too.
Costs of classes have not been set.
Need to see what the interest will be.
Friday, July 28th and Saturday, July 29th Costs for ice dyeing and 7 step gradation will be figured separately for those wanting only one of the techniques.
