SCRAP BLOCK – Want a pattern that really uses your scraps?  This is a good use of 2 ½” and 1 ½” strips out of your scraps – different values.  Begin with two 1 ½” strips and seven 2 ½” strips.  We will make a sample block in class so you can “play” with more out of your scrap bucket.
Monday, January 29th  10:00am – Noon  or 6:30 – 8:30pm
Cost $25  (Includes pattern)

JELLY ROLL, NO SURPRISE – Instead of a surprise, this time you will know what the pattern is.  It involves courthouse step blocks – with a secondary pattern emerging.  Important to get color values correct in order for pattern to emerge.  There will be pre-cutting for the background.   Requires 2 identical jelly rolls.  The top will be 74 ½” x 74 ½”.    January 19 – 20 – Friday and Saturday  Cost - $45

COLOR & DESIGN WORKSHOPS –Back by popular demand!  Want to explore color and design?  What’s missing from your stash?  How do you put together blues?  How many shades of red are there?  What is a real neutral?  Here’s an opportunity to stretch, learn, even keep a journal.  Lots of design tips to inspire both traditional and art quilters.  How?  Monthly sessions using as a guide, the book Color & Design by Heather Thomas.
Did you miss the first few sessions?  No problem, each session is a separate workshop – not dependent on the previous session.  Thursdays, 6:30pm  Cost $15 Dec 8, Jan 11, Feb 8, Mar 8

GYPSY WIFE – A different approach to this pattern by Jen Kingwell.  Making the quilt by Sections instead of by blocks, we will get more control of the color values and contrast.  Beginning with a 3 day workshop to get started, we will go over fabric choices and the best approach for Sections 1 and 2 (There are 10 sections.)  We will be cutting and sewing during all workshops.  The other workshops will be 2 day sessions to move the project forward.  There will be homework!  Sections will be assembled as we go!  The goal is to be done in 5 classes instead of 10.
Workshop One:  February 17, 18, 19 1:00 – 4:00pm each day
Workshop Two:  March 23, 6:00-9:00pm, March 24, 1:00-400pm
